Despite having to use modern materials, I felt it was important to have a well insulated property.
Note counter battoned ceiling... | | | | | | The original, damaged lime plaster ceilings were left in place and counter battoned with fixings through the old ceiling and into the ceiling joists. Plasterboard and plaster preceeded ornate, traditionally made Plaster of Paris cornice and central rose... | | | | | | | | | | | | Reclaimed floor boards, all from the house, were de-nailed, planed and sanded prior to being laid. Once down they were sanded again, treated against woodworm and varnished.
