		It was hard to get enough light for this picture. This kitchen was serving the upstairs flat and had extremely low worksurfaces...
		Looking better already...

		Orange pine, purple curtains and dark green carpet, it all had to go...
		New fully glazed French Doors in and curtains on order...
		Before... Not as straight forward as it may seem. An asbestos ceiling complicating activities in this room...
		...and after...
		It might just look like a coat of paint, curtains and carpet. But this one bay window required the following... Remove skirting boards and damaged plaster below the window, exposing the underside of the small flat roof above the bay and insulating the same areas. Fitting new window sill and removing the sashes. Paint stripping the sashes, replacing damaged glass and re-puttying. Repairing the sashes and routing a 7mm channel around each to take the draught proof strips...
		Removing rotten sections of the frame and repairing. Repainting the sashes and frames, re-hanging the sashes with new Parting and Staff beads, new sash cords, latches and lifters. Plasterboarding, skimming and painting the whole area. Fitting and painting new skirting boards. Fitting new curtains and carpet...
